The millennium sculpture was constructed for a family on their weekend
property, to celebrate the arrival of the year 2000. Located in the
centre of the 200 acre property, the sculpture is approached on axis,
but due to topographic changes, is revealed and hidden at various times
during the approach. Constructed from five local reclaimed barn timbers
placed in a circle, the configuration includes the interspersal of five
young maple trees, such that the eventual decay of the timbers will
be succeeded by a new generation of trees.
