This project aims to organize, intensify, and urbanize the existing successful conditions of the Binkhorst Industrial Zone, by implementing a framework of public infrastructure, to encourage a variety of specific private development. Within the Binkhorst, there exists the beginning of an underlying organizational structure. A series of mapping analysis clarified the structure and determined a voiding strategy providing areas for development. Public investment moves introduce the necessary infrastructure to make development desirable. Private investment follows, and is directed and encouraged to be conducive for specific scales of development and a mixture of site programs. It is expected that the site will continue to develop, so a series of objectives and regulations provide guidelines to encourage a variety of programs and spaces, within an overall structure.
